Step 1: Tap on the Camera app icon on your home screen to open the Camera app. The Camera app icon looks like a black camera.
Step 2: When the Camera app opens, it will be in Photo mode by default. Photo mode lets you take regular pictures.
Step 3: Hold up your iPhone so your subject or scene is showing on the screen.
Step 4: Tap the white shutter button at the bottom middle of the screen to take the picture. The shutter button looks like a white circle.
Step 5: Your photo will automatically be saved to the Photos app where you can view it and edit it.
Step 6: You can tap the thumbnail image preview in the bottom left corner to open the photo you just took.
