Step 1: If selling or gifting, use Settings > General > Reset to wipe the iPhone.
Step 2: Remove SIM card and unpair any linked Apple Watch.
Step 3: Unlink the iPhone from your Apple ID in Settings.
Step 4: Trade in or recycle the iPhone at an Apple Store or other retailer.
Step 5: Delete any remaining personal data by performing a full factory reset.
